Prof. Dr. Zahid Iqbal graduated with Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2001. He obtained his Mphil and PhD in Pharmacology from the same university in 2003 and 2008 respectively. He first started his academic career in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Islamic International Medical College, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Prof Dr. Zahid Iqbal has 16 years of biomedical research and development experience in the field of pharmacology, drug residues, herbal drugs screening and natural products research with expertise in pharmacokinetics, drug residues analysis and herbal drug screening.
His active participation in research is recognized as he was awarded with Research Productivity Award 2017-2018 by Ministry of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. In his junior years as a researcher, he was selected as Associate Young Scientist by Pakistan Academy of Sciences and Associate Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS). Being ranked third amongst all health scientists of Pakistan, he has received many research grants and also won numerous travel grants to attend international conferences. Over the years, Prof. Dr. Zahid Iqbal has involved in organizing conferences and conducting research-related workshops. His renowned expertise is acknowledge internationally as he was invited to give keynote lectures in a number of international conferences.
He has more than 30 publications in highly reputed, indexed international and national journals and is member of eleven national and international societies and organization. He is also working on the editorial board of several indexed national and international journals.
